Job Description:
Are you a highly motivated nursing professional with a passion for mental health? NIMHANS seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to join their team at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) in Karnataka. As the Chief Nursing Officer, you will oversee the nursing department and ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Qualification/ Requirements:
Officers of Central/State Govt/UT Administration/Autonomous/Statutory Bodies holding analogous posts on regular basis with 5 years of standard service in the grade of Nursing Superintendent or in a similar capacity in nursing administration and not less than 17 years experience in the Nursing Cadre and possessing the following qualifications:-
i. B.Sc in Nursing or equivalent qualification from a recognized University /institute.
ii. DPN/DNN
OR
M.Sc in Psychiatric/Neuro Nursing from a recognized University/institute.
Desirable:
Should have published once in every two years a research paper in the journal of national standing and repute.
(Period of deputation shall not ordinarily exceed 3 years).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in accordance with NIMHANS standards
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with other departments to provide the highest standard of patient care
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families
